The Catalogue Exchange Advisory Board
The main role of Advisory Board members is to actively support the work and the objectives of the Catalogue Exchange via active participation in the formulation of policy and ongoing developmental work. All Advisory Board members should be willing and able to contribute such time as is reasonably required, for involvement in decision making as well as the undertaking of research or responsibility for specific areas - all for the benefit of the wider membership and the sector as a whole.
Background
The thirteen member Advisory Board was established by the twenty or so catalogue companies who founded the Catalogue Exchange in 2002. Its role was initially identified "to support the aims and objectives of the organisation and to assist in the formulation of policy". Over time, that role has evolved along with growth in membership and now requires that Advisory Board members are involved in the many important tasks that need to be undertaken for the good of the catalogue and multi-channel industry as a whole. Catalogue Exchange increasingly relies on the active participation of its board members to achieve the goals it has set itself.
