Mothercare buys Blooming Marvellous

Mothercare has announced it has acquired the Blooming Marvellous brand and trademark.

Blooming Marvellous, which is a member of the Catalogue Exchange, caters for mums-to-be and sells a range of maternity clothing, baby items and toys. In a statement, Mothercare has said it plans to introduce the maternity brand across its network of stores 'in due course'.

Ben Gordon, Mothercare Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are pleased to make this announcement today. Blooming Marvellous is an excellent strategic fit within Mothercare. The acquisition strengthens further our position as the leading specialist retailer for parents and parents-to-be."
